Bio

Recognized as an idol super-group by the media, Girls’ Generation is one of the first “ice-breakers” to lead K-Pop and SM Entertainment onto the international scene. In 2007, their debut song “Into the New World” was a booming success attracting fans from around the world and setting the stage for success. The group has expanded their influence exponentially, translating many of their songs into Japanese and releasing several Japanese albums and singles. The 2012 release of a Korean and an English version of their cover title “The Boys” allowed the group to expand more into America and landed them an interview on the “Late Night Show.” In 2011 and 2012, The Sisa Journal named the group as one of the most influential entertainers, making them the first female idol group in history to make the list. With a consistent stream of new songs and albums, SNSD is poised to maintain their influence as a super-group and continue to gain more recognition.
