Seoul Lantern Festival

The Seoul Lantern Festival with my friend, Kelly, from revvontulet! This is Seoul’s equivalent to Christmas lights in November!

Last Tuesday I went to Seoul Lantern Festival (서울빛초롱축제) at Cheonggyecheon Stream and Plaza (청계천 & 청계광장) with my friend, Diane. The festival has been going on since 2009, featuring hundreds of unique paper lanterns from local and international artists.

Diane and I decided to stop by after class. It was crowded and we didn’t plan to stay long because it was cold, so we walked along the street and looked down over the railing.

There were so many people, the walkway was packed! I took a ton of pictures hoping some would turn out decent, but my phone’s camera couldn’t handle the high contrast. I also took a short video of a Christmas Tree lantern since the changing colors were so pretty~
